B ORIG... Bisaya Original Music for New Zealand and beyond. It is our mission to introduce the music, both traditional and pop, of Bisaya artists as well as the Bisaya culture and language; and to provide a link to Bisaya people in New Zealand to other parts of the globe. Mel Libre is a solicitor and a Filipino community leader. He is a published writer and a singer-songwriter and was a disc jockey from 1975 to 2005 in Cebu City, Philippines and organised music events. He is a Kiwi citizen and has lived in NZ for more than 15 years. Benmark Mercado is a new migrant, having arrived in NZ more than six months ago. At the moment, he is a health sector worker. He is a singer-songwriter and won the grand prize of the Minpop 2022 Songwriter Contest held earlier this year.
